Liveblog and social media are like bread and butter and go very well together. Arena allows you to connect your favorite social media accounts and grab its content via API to be shared on your Live Blog or Live Chat.

We currently support:

How to set up Twitter Stream

1. Go to Liveblog > Stream > Create Stream
2. Select Twitter
3. You can add specific accounts under Account to stream only tweets from those accounts. Don't know which account exactly you want? You can choose the accounts that Arena suggested based on your event.
4. Add hashtags or keywords that are relevant to your event. You can choose Any / OR keywords and hashtags.

To curate the content even further, you can add some terms to the filter box as shown below:

And contains these terms - to filter the tweets from the specified accounts, hashtags and/or keywords with the terms added in this section.
Doesn’t contain these terms - to filter out the tweets from the specified accounts, hashtags and/or keywords that don't contain terms added in this section.

5. Select the location where you are targeting. We recommend leaving the location blank to capture more accurate data.
6. You can also select content using the Additional Filters:
Sentiment - Choose from No Sentiment, Positive, Negative
Minimum Likes - The number of engagements on Twitter can be indicative of how reliable the account is.
Minimum Followers - Filter out accounts that have a low number of followers or bot accounts.
Minimum Retweets - The number of engagements on Twitter can be indicative of how reliable the account is.
Verified Accounts - Only include tweets from verified accounts.
Content Type - Only pull in selected media. (Image, Text, Videos)
Language - Only grab tweets in a specific language.

7. When you selected Auto post, you will have the option to start the stream up to 1 day before the beginning of the event. (*note: only new tweets will be auto-post after the setup. Old tweets will not be published.)
8. Once everything is ready to go, click on Save Stream. You can save the settings by clicking on Save as Template. This will be very useful when you want to create multiple streams with slightly different settings.
